Walk the Walk Update

2010’s Walk the Walk is ready for your participation. Walk the Walk is a ministry for any woman looking to live a more healthy lifestyle. We will be incorporating a Biblical approach to eating and fitness. All ages, all body types are welcome. This will be a work in progress so suggestions are welcomed (mobimed@bellsouth.net). This is not a “program” nor “membership to any type fitness club or gym”. It is a group of women who are like-minded and who want to encourage each other to fight the fight daily with better decisions about health; which include focusing on being active. We will also meet for group exercise. We talk the talk about God, let’s begin Walking the Walk with strengthening our bodies too, as God intended. We meet Tuesday and Thursday nights at Pearson Baptist Church from 6pm-7pm in the gymnasium. Please bring hand weights or leg weights if you have them. If you have any questions, please direct them to Danyelle Carroll at the email listed above.

NOTE: It's in your best interest to clear any exercise activities with your physician first.

Cauliflower Poppers

Ingredients:

1 spray(s) cooking spray

1 small head cauliflower

1/2 tsp ground cumin

1/2 tsp chili powder, or more to taste

1/2 tsp table salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Coat baking sheet with cooking spray. Cut cauliflower florets into bite-sized pieces (there should be about 4 cups). Place cauliflower in a medium bowl and add cumin, chili powder, salt and pepper; toss well to coat.

Spread cauliflower on prepared baking sheet and bake until cauliflower is tender, but not mushy, stirring halfway through, about 10 minutes. Yields about 1/2 cup per serving.

Enjoy!
